Japan Endovascular Treatment Conference 2026 (JET2026) President
Masato Nakamura, MD, PhD
(Toho University Ohashi Medical Center)

Greetings from the President

It is a distinct privilege for me, Masato Nakamura of Toho University, to extend a cordial invitation to everyone and to serve as the President of the Japan Endovascular Treatment Conference (JET) 2026. Counting from the first time I served as the President of JET, this is my fourth time in this prestigious role. Given the tremendous growth JET has experienced over the years, while I am deeply honored to serve as President again, I also find myself with a greater sense of responsibility than ever before. With that in mind, I would like to take this opportunity to share a few words.

Today, JET has undoubtedly earned its place as one of the world’s leading endovascular conferences. At its inception, no one could have imagined such growth, and needless to say, an achievement like this cannot be accomplished overnight. JET’s growth has also served as a catalyst for the growth of “Team JET,” and we owe much of that growth to the continued support and encouragement of everyone who is involved in the conference. On behalf of the entire JET team, I would like to express our sincere gratitude.

The main theme of JET2026 is “Progress and harmony for EVT.” In this context, “progress” signifies the passage of time, advancement, and development, while “harmony” represents a state in which things and people blend seamlessly and coexist in comfort. In the realm of music, “harmony” evokes the creation of beautiful, pleasant melodies through the fusion of different sounds. The inherent virtue of JET lies in its continuous evolution. As we take on new challenges and venture into unchartered fields, our goal is to pursue not only “evolution” and “balance” but also to strive for “harmony.” In this regard, I am confident that the progress accumulated throughout the history of JET will eventually give rise to harmony. At JET2026, we aspire to bring this concept to life and share it with everyone.

JET2026 is scheduled to be held at Bellesalle Haneda Airport, a venue directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3. While hosting a conference at a venue close to an airport is relatively common overseas, this will be one of the first such events in Japan. I trust that the venue will also provide an opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of Japan’s role in the world. The conference will be held from February 6 (Friday) through February 8 (Sunday), 2026. Although the timing of the conference has been inconsistent in recent years, we plan to hold it around this time each year going forward.

Regarding the program, we will stream live coverage of our main Peripheral Artery and Scrub sessions on Friday and Saturday. Additionally, we plan to stream live coverage of our Aortic and Neuro sessions on Friday, as well as our AV Access and Venous sessions on Saturday. Furthermore, while maintaining continuity in programs such as the widely acclaimed Late Breaking Trials and the popular JET BOX, we are also considering innovative sessions that reflect the opinions of many participating professionals. Alongside Dr. Tatsuya Nakama as Secretariat Director, and together with Dr. Kenji Suzuki, Dr. Makoto Utsunomiya, and other distinguished members, I intend to work diligently and harmoniously to prepare for this event. The very thought of what lies ahead fills me with excitement. I sincerely hope that many of you will join us at Haneda Airport, the gateway to Japan, to experience this new challenge at JET2026.

I look forward to meeting you all there.
