Presentation Guidelines

For oral presenters

– Adherence to the schedule is greatly appreciated.

– Please be seated in the Next Presenter Seat no later than 15 minutes prior to your presentation time.

– PowerPoint Slide: Maximum of 20 slides.

– Download the JET2020 slide master from the links below.
(Dark and light versions are available; choose your preferred version.)

Presentation time

– General oral presentations: 10 minutes (6 minutes presentation, 4 minutes Q&A)

– Invited presentations: depending on session

* Please bring your own laptop and review your presentation data to “PC Operator Desk” at Hall B on Thursday, February 20th.

* Reviewing must be proceeded at least 30 min. prior to the presentation.

* Only computer presentations are accepted.

– Windows Windows10 or earlier, PowerPoint 2010, 2013, 2016
(Able to play videos using Media Player)

– If using Macintosh or video files, bring your own computer (including AC adaptor and external output adaptors).

Bringing your own media (Windows only)

– Preparation

Media: USB flash memory or CD-R only
(2)
Application: Windows10 or earlier, PowerPoint 2010 or later
(3)
Font: Standard Windows fonts only
(4)
Video files: Playable using Windows Media Player and copied to a single folder
(5)
Once your data is ready, do a virus check and check that it displays correctly on a different computer.
(6)
The screen aspect ratio is 16:9.

– Presentation process

(1)
Complete registration at the PC preview center no later than 30 minutes prior to your presentation time.
(2)
Use the mouse and keyboard provided while checking your presentation on the monitor on the podium during your presentation.
(3)
The resolution of the projector is Full HD (1920×1080).
(4)
The Secretariat will ensure that the data is disposed of after your presentation.
(5)
Please name your presentation file as follows: “[presentation number]_[presenter full name]”.
Ex. Presentation number: MO-000   your name: Tom Smith
→ File name: “MO-000_TomSmith.pptx”.

Using your own computer (Windows, Macintosh)

– Preparation

Carefully check the output connector for an external display and if needed, bring your own connection adaptor.

The resolution of the projector is Full HD (1920×1080).
(3)
Bring your own AC adaptor.
(4)
In case of connection problems, bring a backup copy of your presentation on USB flash memory or CD-R.

– Presentation process

(1)
After testing your presentation at the PC preview center at least 30 minutes prior to your presentation time, bring your computer to the computer operator desk in the venue you are assigned no later than 20 minutes prior to your presentation time.
(2)
Turn off all screen savers and energy saving modes to ensure your computer does not turn off during your presentation.
(3)
The technician at the computer operator desk will connect your computer to the projector.
(4)
You will use the mouse and keyboard provided while checking your presentation on the monitor on the podium during your presentation.
(5)
The resolution of the projector is Full HD (1920×1080).
(6)
Collect your computer from the computer operator desk after your presentation.

For Digital Poster presenters

– Posters will be displayed. There will be no oral presentation on-site.
Digital Poster presenters are requested to submit the poster data in end of the January.
Create your poster data according to the following.

Digital poster data should be made by PowerPoint 2010 or later.
(2)
The data should be sideways. The limit of the number of slide is 15 (Including Title, COI, and Conclusion slide).
(3)
The Language for Digital poster data should be; English
(4)
Please name your presentation file as follows: “[presentation number]_[presenter full name]”.
Ex. Presentation number: MP-00   your name: Tom Smith
→ File name: “MP-00_TomSmith.pptx”.
(5)
Details of digital poster data submission will be announced in January.
